Strack GmbH has been established in 1922, in Troisdorf, Germany, as a small privately owned company and is one of the most prominent manufacturers of high quality valves in the world. Through the eighty years of our existence, we always strove to develop a product line based on the advanced requirements of the industry.

History

In the year 2001 we moved our manufacturing facility to Magdeburg/Barleben which has been widely known in the valve manufacturing business because of the prestigious MAW Magdeburg. Together with our new manufacturing facility in Magdeburg/Barleben, and our 250 highly experienced employees in our production plants and offices in Troisdorf as well as in Magdeburg/Barleben, we are working together to keep the high level of quality in our products, which are known and appreciated by our valued customers for more than 90 years.

STRACK offers a complete line of high quality, first class products that guarantee long lasting safety and reliability in chemical plants, refineries and power stations. 

Globally, we offer valves conforming both national and international design standards (DIN, ANSI, ASME etc.) of the highest quality as well as technical advice and service for complete valve packages to our customers. 

Together with our qualified engineering staff and state of the art manufacturing facility, we provide high quality products to our customers.
Our Quality Assurance Program has been certified acc. to DIN ISO 9001 since 1993 and also holds product- and system-related certificates from UOP, MIRO, ABB and many others.

ABS International GmbH acquires the company and operates as Strack Maschinenbau GmbH

1995 Business taken over by Strack Maschinenbau GmbH, Troisdorf

Acquisition of Strack by von Roll Strack GmbH, Frankfurt

Company sold and operated as Strack GmbH

Acquisition of STRACK GmbH by Phönix Armaturen Werke Bregel GmbH

2001-2010

Realization of several big projects (chemical plants, fertilizer plants, conventional and nuclear power stations) with an object volume up to 10,0 Mio EUR resulting from the wide product range of PHÖNIX and STRACK requiring a continuously increase of the turnover of the whole group. Technology and quality of our products are required world-wide.

June 2010

Financial investor AXA Private Equity becomes main shareholder to support the growth of the group.

August 2011

Acquisition of Daume Regelarmaturen GmbH by Phönix/Strack group supported by AXA Private Equity.Daume Regelarmaturen GmbH is a medium-sized company located in Isernhagen near Hanover focused on development and production of control valves for the domain of energy supply and many process technology branches.

2013

Acquisition of the Phönix valve group by Curtiss Wright
